Journey of MLH....

I am often asked how did you become a massage therapist??
I reflect back to a car accident I experienced in highschool,
the result being whiplash. A massage therapist had relieved a lot of
my discomfort and the memory of it remained with me. 

I was just finishing a teacher's program in college whenI had a defining
moment sitting in a computer classroom. It was a moment in time I knew
this would be a good career but my heart was saying there is something more...

I moved back to Quincy 2001 and started researching wellness fields.
It occured to me massage would be a great foundation to build
upon since I had experienced the results myself. I found the Healing Arts Center
in St. Louis, MO and trained in over 600 hrs intensively for a year
to be a Licensed Massage Therapist. In February of 2003,
I established MLH Wellness Spa.

Six months later I also enrolled in school to become a Licensed Esthetician,
a skincare specialist, graduating withover 650 hours of training.
It has been a nice addition to be able to offer
facials, bodywraps, and massage therapy in the same menu. As of 2008, I
celebrated my 5th Business Anniversary!

I will continue to educate myself and clients on the latest therapies and
information available. I became a Certified Reflexologist in August 2008 and have already experienced great results with some of my clients.
